RECYCLING NOWTIME TO CONSIDER - OR RECONSIDER -INCORPORATING A CLOTHING RECYCLING SYSTEM IN YOUR BUILDING Dear Property Manager:
As you know, the City of Toronto is committed to improving recycling.
Since July 1st 09, multi unit apartment buildings and condominiums are paying a fee for garbage collection based on how much garbage is set out by residents.
The more you recycle, the less garbage; the less garbage, the lower your fees.
NOW IS THE TIME TO CONSIDER - OR RECONSIDER - INCORPORATING A CLOTHING
RECYLCING SYSTEM IN YOUR BUILDING.
Planet Aid Canada, Inc. can offer you a clothing drop off box for your building.
The box can be placed in your outdoor recycling area, or inside if appropriate.
Facts about the collection box: The collection box is made of metal. It is 3’x4’ at the base and 7’ high. The color is light yellow. The box is clearly marked with easy to follow instructions. Planet Aid Canada, Inc.maintains sufficient liability insurance.
There is no cost for hosting a box.
It will be emptied every week. If the box is full between pick-ups, we will do extra pick-ups, or if feasible, we can install one more box.
Planet Aid Canada (charity # 87 187 4772 RR0001) currently has clothing recycling boxes in 80 high-rise buildings in GTA. Each building is collecting between 100 and 600 pounds of clothing per week!
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions or if you will like to get the program started at your location.
